Welcome

You have arrived in a place of quiet strength and gentle support.

Here wellness is not about striving or fixing, it's about softening into who you already are.

It's about moving in a way that feels good, caring for yourself with intention and finding joy and purpose at any stage in life.

I am Beth and I work with those who want something more meaningful than quick fixes. Those who are ready to explore wellbeing through mindful movement, hands on therapies, self-care practices and simple lifestyle shifts that honour real people.

Whether you are over 50 and rediscovering what matters, or navigating the ups and downs of health, life challenges or loss, you are welcome here. This is a space to feel seen, supported and very gently encouraged. A place to reconnect with your body, your breath, your joy and your worth. Lets begin together.

A Little About Me

I am in my 60s and I am walking this path right alongside of you.

I have lived through grief, raised children as a single parent, rebuilt, reimagined and kept showing up, often with walking boots on my feet, a coffee in hand, music playing and a pile of books never too far away and a warm wit that softens the edges of everyday life.

My work is rooted in lived experiences and years of training in movement, wellbeing, and hand on therapies. But more than that it is grounded in how I choose to live with kindness, humour and deep respect for the body’s wisdom and souls timing.

I believe movement should feel beautiful, not like a punishment. That self-care should be something that you look forward to not another task on your to do list.

I know that joy, connection and purpose are not just possible in later life they are essential.

So are you ready to move in a way that feels good, connect more deeply with yourself and others, and live your next chapter with clarity and grace?

Qigong

Have you ever gazed in wonder when you happen upon a group of people in a park moving together in a gentle graceful almost hypnotic dance.

Could they be following Qigong Shibashi? A Chinese practise which has evolved through the years but roots in ancient Chinese History and philosophies.

As a Health and Wellness Practitioner with enhanced DBS, my journey with Qigong Shibashi, Tai Chi, started a few years ago while studying and training. Years later I continue to study and train in this enriching practice for inner and outer wellness.

Qigong Shibashi is a set of simple 18 flowing rhythmic forms almost likened to a ballet where each movement flows gracefully into the next and offers a profound experience of holistic wellness. It is active relaxation and can be considered as a moving mediation.

By incorporating Qigong into my Practise, I am offering a unique opportunity for individuals to enhance their physical, emotion, wellbeing, mental clarity, and social connectedness.

Whether you are seeking to alleviate stress, improve flexibility, or simply find more balance and harmony in your life, Qigong offers a gentle but powerful approach.

My classes are designed to cater for small groups or one to one sessions, allowing for personalized attention and guidance. This setting ensures that each participant can fully experience the benefits of Qigong, with tailored sessions that meet individual needs and goals. In a world where stress, disconnection and health issues are all too common, Qigong offers a pathway to greater peace, self-discovery, resilience, and vitality.

Benefits of Qigong

Whether you are able-bodied or have limited mobility, Qigong can be practised in a way that suits your needs. This adaptability offers an excellent practice for all ages and physical abilities. The slow flowing movements help to gently stretch and strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, enhance balance and coordination, regular practice can lead to increased energy, better posture, and a greater range of motion.

Moreover, the gentle nature of Qigong makes it ideal for people with arthritis, M.E. Fibromyalgia, Menopause, Joint Issues, Dementia, Mind Struggles, Neurological conditions and more. Studies show that Qigong may have a positive impact on chronic pain, reduce hypertension, improve cardiovascular health and blood and oxygen circulation. Also, for those recovering from surgery, Qigong can be practised seated and can still provide substantial benefits.

Active Relaxation

A unique aspect of Qigong is its ability to combine physical activity with deep relaxation often described as active relaxation. This offers your body and mind to engage in a way that is energizing and calming. This is in total contrast to many forms of physical exercise that can be physically demanding and mentality exhausting.

Mental and Emotional Benefits

This practise encourages mindfulness, a state of being present in the moment which can reduce stress, anxiety, and tension, promoting a sense of calm and mental clarity. This emphasis on slow gentle movements helps regulate the nervous system, making it easier to cope with emotional challenges.

Peace begins with me

At its core, Qigong is about cultivating peace and calm and by taking the time to nurture your own wellness with practices such as Qigong, we become calmer and more centred which in turn will benefit our personal health on a physically, mental, and emotional levels. By incorporating Qigong into your life, you can take a proactive step towards a healthier more peaceful life.
